I can say this every morning waking up and seeing the rising sun behind the Igreja da Serra do Pilar dome, in a moment its rays awaken Ponte Luís I railing and finally stain Paço Episcopal do Porto facade. A new day has started in Porto. A beautiful day. In Porto it can’t be different.

I arrange my color box, take canvas prepared the day before and on my way to the waterfront stop for a cup of coffee in a small cafe de Avenida Diogo Leite, put the easel on the embankment where the Rabelo boats * are floating and Vila Nova de Gaia port wine warehouse  starts its life on my canvas.

You can meet me either on Porto side catching the ocean splashes on the canvas or the wind from the palm rows in Avenida de Dom Carlos I, or in the narrow streets around Caves Sandeman. How to recognize me? The color box bears inscription «portoart.eu», in canvas or watercolors bloom familiar or completely unseen Porto and its surrounding scenes. Maybe you will take a liking to a still wet watercolor or a yesterday painted landscape with a cat on a Rua Cândido dos Reis house windowsill.

I will gladly share these works with you but the entire collection you can see in my website www.portoart.eu. All paintings are originals and sent to any location in the world. Coming soon will be added ceramics and textile products.

About me. My name is Ozzy, I am from Latvia but I know that in one of my past lives I have definitely lived in Porto, possibly in the form of a cat.

I mastered painting in Latvia in the Applied Arts School and the Art Academy of Latvia. I have participated in over 30 group exhibitions and organized 15 solo shows.
